The North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is hiring a Band 2 Medical Laboratory Assistant for its Microbiology department in Carlisle. The role involves supporting biomedical scientists with processing clinical specimens, registering patients in the pathology system, handling specimen reception, managing phone inquiries, and maintaining cleanliness in the laboratory. The laboratory operates from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, seven days a week, with flexible scheduling available.

No prior laboratory experience is necessary, as training will be provided. Candidates should exhibit strong planning, organisational, and communication skills, along with problem-solving abilities.
