The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking skilled and motivated Band 7 Specialist Nurses to join their expanding drug and alcohol liaison team and liver transplant addictions service. The role involves assessing an average of 90 patients monthly, providing both inpatient and outpatient care, utilizing motivational interviewing, patient-centered follow-up, and non-medical prescribing for short- to medium-term interventions. The successful candidates will work with pre-transplant patients, conducting holistic assessments and offering recommendations to the multi-disciplinary transplant team regarding patients' addiction histories and relapse risks.

Candidates should be experienced addictions nurses and competent non-medical prescribers, capable of working collaboratively within a forward-thinking multi-disciplinary team. The positions will require some cross-site work across Royal Free, Barnet, and potentially Chase Farm, with core working hours from Monday to Friday and occasional weekend duties. The team is expanding to provide a seven-day service, and while the primary focus is on the Band 7 role, motivated individuals who do not yet meet the experience criteria may be considered for a Band 6 training post with a commitment to undertake non-medical prescribing training.
