Establish and maintain a review programme for all corporate governance policies and procedures, working with the Director of Integrated Governance to ensure these are up-to-date, approved and communicated as appropriate.
We are looking for a Head of Corporate Governance to join us on a fixed term contract for 12 months. As the Head of Corporate Governance you will be supporting the Director of Integrated Governance to deliver an effective and efficient corporate governance function, managing the decision making processes and structures of the Trust Board of Directors. There will be times you will need to formally deputise for the Director of Integrated Governance as required.
The Corporate Governance Team consists of the Director of Integrated Governance, Executive Assistants, Board Support Officer and Membership Manager. The team are all based in Trust Headquarters and provide support for both Executive Directors and Non-Executive Directors. There is a good working culture that promotes a positive, supportive and productive environment where employees feel valued and motivated to contribute. All team members are treated with dignity and respect and diversity is embraced.
- To promote excellent standards of corporate governance through formal and informal mechanisms, including formal meetings both internal and external to the Trust.
- To draft sensitive, confidential and complex documents on behalf of the Director of Integrated Governance, the Chair and Trust Board.
- To ensure that the Trust Board's decision making processes are well managed and that reports/papers are prepared, agreed and dispatched in compliance with the Trust Board's procedural rules and statutory requirements.
- To manage the administration of the Trust's Board of Directors and its Committees' meetings, annual work programmes and records.
- Maintain the annual cycle of business for Trust Board and its Committees, ensuring efficient and timely passage of business through the Trust's assurance and decision making processes.

- Manage the administrative function within the Chief Executive's office including line management of the Executive Assistants, Membership Manager and Board Support Officer.
