The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a skilled and motivated Registered Nurse to take on the role of Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse in the pre-assessment unit at the Coleman Centre, Leicester General Hospital. This position is ideal for experienced Band 5 nurses or current Band 6 nurses looking for a new challenge. The successful candidate will provide strong clinical leadership, support the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse, mentor nursing students and newly qualified nurses, and ensure high standards of patient care and teamwork within a supportive and diverse environment.

Key responsibilities include assessing and planning nursing care, supervising nursing staff, participating in the management of the discharge lounge team, and maintaining clear communication with patients and their families. The role also involves actively contributing to service improvement and the implementation of evidence-based practices while ensuring accurate and complete nursing documentation.
