The role of Children's Bladder and Bowel Nurse Specialist at County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust in Darlington involves joining a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care and support to children and young people with bladder and bowel issues. The successful candidate will manage an individual caseload, delivering assessments, care, and education to patients and their families, while also mentoring junior staff. The position entails working in various settings, including children's homes, schools, and multiple hospital sites, with a focus on improving the quality of life for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

In addition to providing specialized nursing care, the role includes collaborating with other health professionals to develop treatment plans, ensuring high standards of care are maintained, and participating in service improvement initiatives based on patient feedback and audit outcomes. The post holder will play a key role in monitoring and enhancing patient experiences, promoting the service to various audiences, and adhering to clinical governance standards. Independent travel is required to fulfill the responsibilities effectively. Both full-time and part-time positions are available.
