The University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a Deputy Chief Medical Officer (System) who will play a pivotal role in the Corporate Medical Leadership team. This position involves strategic decision-making and promoting high standards of clinical care while working closely with medical staff to enhance practice and performance. The successful candidate will support the Chief Medical Officer in fostering evidence-based practice and ensuring effective Trust policies. Key responsibilities include inspiring multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with various healthcare professionals, and driving a culture of continuous improvement within the Trust.

Candidates should possess extensive experience in senior medical management and demonstrate a commitment to team working and shared responsibility. The role requires a visible leader with an open and transparent style, adept at service change and performance enhancement. To fulfill the Deputy Chief Medical Officer responsibilities, applicants are expected to reduce other commitments. The position offers 3-4 Programmed Activities (PAs) and an honorarium payment of £25,000.
