This post is one of three consultant posts in psychiatry of substance misuse in Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. This post provides Consultant leadership to Community Drug and alcohol Teams in Cynon and Merthyr. It supports the Community Drug and Alcohol Team (CDAT) service for Merthyr and Cynon Valley areas.
A special interest will be encouraged and is negotiable. The post can be full time, maximum part time or job share by negotiation.
The post will be based in the Merthyr/Cynon Locality but the post holder will be expected to work at other Health Board premises and at other sites with the district.

provide supervision for the Speciality doctor and core trainee, and to a Specialist Registrar if the post holder is approved as trainer and an SpR is allocated to the team.
