The Advanced Clinical Practitioner at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester will collaborate with clinical oncology and medical oncology consultants to prescribe and manage Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) treatments and provide care for radiotherapy patients in both outpatient and inpatient environments. The role requires a nursing background with a master's in advanced clinical practice, and while experience in oncology or head and neck care is preferred, training will be provided. The practitioner will engage in comprehensive patient assessments, prescribe necessary treatments, monitor patients for side effects, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Additionally, this position involves leadership responsibilities, including participation in clinical audit and risk management, as well as acting as a role model and mentor to other healthcare professionals. The post holder will promote research and education within the clinical setting, support patient education on health issues, and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care experiences. Flexibility in work and a commitment to advancing nursing practice in oncology are essential qualities for candidates.
