An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and driven therapy assistant to join our Medical Specialities Therapy team. The team supports and provides care to patient across a variety of medical specialities. You will be working under the guidance of physiotherapists and occupational therapists, assisting patients with rehabilitation and supporting their safe discharge from the hospital. This post offers a rewarding opportunity for someone looking to gain experience working within therapy team. You will have support to develop your skills in assessment and treatment of patients across the medical specialities, at the same time as having the opportunity to expand your knowledge with access to in-service training, regular supervision and support. Key responsibilities of the post include, gathering information on patient's history, ordering equipment, follow up with exercise plans already established by therapist and working as an essential team member in the Multi-Disciplinary Team. You will also be required to participate in a 7-day service.
To provide skilled routine, and non-routine, clinical and technical support to the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy team and clerical staff associated with the team.
