Band 6: £37,338 to £44,962 a year pro rata, per annum  PERMANENT  GOOD SALARY 

To plan, facilitate and deliver teaching to undergraduate medical students with patients in the classroom and ward or clinic environment, including history taking, clinical examination, clinical skills, simulation based teaching and advanced communication skills.

The post-holder will deliver education learning and development across all disciplines , however focusing on pediatrics ensuring high quality education is delivered to medical students from Newcastle and Sunderland Universities.

The post will specifically work within the role as Clinical Educator for all disciplines with a focus on the delivery of Child health curriculum forUndergraduate Medical

Respond at directorate level to national initiatives quickly and effectively in a way that is tailored to the needs of the department.

Plan and deliver structured and opportunistic teaching in clinical skills for all medical students as required.

Provide clinical teaching to medical students supported by clinical tutors.

To design, develop, co-ordinate and deliver programmes of teaching and learning for undergraduate medical students in child health within an inter-professional educational context.

To coordinate placements and clinical experience for medical students by liaising with clinical staff across the trust and community as well as recruitment of patients and role players for teaching in the classroom and ward or clinic environment as well as exams.

Including supporting underperforming students and giving feedback.To act as an educational resource and support for all students.Contribute to patient safety through the development of the workforce and by contributing to mandatory training programmes.Undertake research and development relevant to education in practice and the clinical learning environment.Contribute on a regular basis to the core provision of education provision throughout the year as directed by the Medical Education and Quality Lead.
