Penketh Health Centre in Warrington is seeking a dedicated and motivated Salaried GP to join their multidisciplinary team for 4 sessions a week, under the BMA model contract. The practice supports GP Registrars, medical students, and pre-registration pharmacists, and has been recognized with a good CQC rating. The role involves a range of responsibilities such as in-person and telephone consultations, home visits, prescription management, and clinical administration.

The successful candidate will be expected to perform various duties including attending to patient queries, sharing a duty clinic rotation, and managing incoming clinical documents. Additional responsibilities include making specialist referrals, recording consultation notes accurately, and coding for QOF compliance. The practice is open to new approaches to address the challenges in Primary Care.

We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and motivated GP to join our hardworking multidisciplinary team, working 4 sessions.

This post will be under the BMA model contract.

We are a training Practice supporting GP Registrars, 4th year Medical Students and Pre Reg Pharmacists. We are accepting new ways of working to address clinical and workforce issues facing Primary Care. Our CQC rating is good.

The GP will undertake a variety of duties governed by the GMS contract and objectives of enhanced services including:

In person consultations
Telephone consultations
Visiting patients at home and in care homes
Checking and signing prescriptions
Covering duty clinic on a shared rotation
Dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence as required
Clinical administration

About us
In accordance with the practice timetable, the successful candidate will undertake a variety of duties, including surgery face to face consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home and in care homes, checking and signing prescriptions and dealing with medication queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion. Actioning a share of blood results and incoming clinical documents electronically. Referring patients for specialist input. Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards including coding for QOF.
