The Community Phlebotomist position at Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust involves joining a Community Nursing Team serving the North Norfolk area, including Fakenham, Wells, Holt, and Sheringham. The role focuses on the collection of blood samples from patients following established procedures, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation, as well as adhering to guidelines for specialized blood sampling, such as INR. The Phlebotomist will collaborate with healthcare professionals and agencies to provide integrated care, establish positive working relationships, and manage patient assessments and care plans autonomously within their homes.

Candidates should possess IT skills for using the ICE system to print blood requests and must show capability in teamwork and communication for reporting concerns. While prior community experience is beneficial, it is not mandatory. The position plays a vital role in the development of local health services, operating within a multi-disciplinary team alongside community nurses, matrons, therapists, and other healthcare assistants. A comprehensive induction program will provide necessary training, ensuring effective integration into the community care setting.
