The "Child & Adolescent Mental Health / Learning Disabilities Nurse" position at Swansea Bay University Health Board involves providing expert support to young people and families within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). This role requires a community-based approach, delivering interventions in diverse settings such as clinics, schools, and homes. The post holder will assess needs, provide evidence-based interventions using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approaches, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and families to ensure patient-led, culturally sensitive care that adapts to the varying needs of young people.

Additionally, the nurse will manage a clinical caseload, perform strengths-based assessments, and uphold professional standards in record-keeping and patient safety. The position also includes mentoring newly qualified staff and requires independent decision-making skills. Candidates should possess strong organisational skills and the ability to travel independently within the region. Fluent Welsh is desirable, although proficiency in English is acceptable.
