We're looking for an enthusiastic, kind, responsive and adaptable HR professional to join us as the Head of our Business Partnering team. With services based across Kent, Sussex and London there'll be occasional travel, although much of the time you'll work remotely and will connect with colleagues digitally.

You'll be an integral and visible member of the senior leadership teams in the designated service you'll be supporting and the People and OD team. You'll shape the strategic direction of services as a trusted partner, have great leadership skills with the ability to engage and motivate colleagues around you, support the team to deliver our ambitious We Care strategy and support culture change and development to enable us to become the best employer.

We put patients first and we expect all of our colleagues to do the same, so although NHS experience isn't a requirement for this role you'll need to share our passion for delivering excellent patient care and keep that passion at the forefront of your professional activity at all times. As a senior People professional, you'll develop a robust and in-depth understanding of your workforce, model our leadership behaviours and live the values of the organisation. You'll identify and deliver OD interventions to drive cultural change; identify creative and innovative solutions to address workforce challenges; be the voice of your services on workforce matters; deliver on key priorities and inspire and support your teams to think differently to meet the challenge of continuing to deliver exceptional healthcare services in a continuously changing landscape.

You'll have experience of:

  • analysing data and workforce metrics to identify people challenges, inform decision making and drive change;
  • leading organisational change and TUPE processes;
  • organisational development fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture;
  • partnering with teams to identify talent gaps and implement strategies for recruitment, retention, and succession planning;
  • developing programmes to enhance employee skills;
  • building excellent working relationships with stakeholders and collaborative working to deliver workforce strategy;
  • leading a team of HR professional
