As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, the successful applicant will be expected to assess and manage their own caseload of patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and work autonomously within professional standards. Strong organisational and time management skills are essential, and experience in community settings is desirable. The role emphasises collaboration with experienced staff, providing opportunities to cultivate advanced clinical skills, leadership, and supervisory capabilities.
Adult/ Older Peoples Rehabilitation and Neurology rotations
We have an opportunity to join our B6 physiotherapy community rotation scheme. This would be an exciting opportunity for an experienced band 5 or established band 6 physiotherapist looking to develop their skills across a broad range of rotations within rehabilitation settings.
Our 9 month rotations are based at 2 sites within the Borough of Wandsworth and cover the following areas:
Inpatient neuro rehabilitation (Queen Mary's Hospital)
Inpatient older people's rehab (Queen Mary's Hospital)
Amputee rehabilitation (Queen Mary's Hospital)
Community neuro rehabilitation (St Johns Therapy Centre)
The rotations run across a number of areas which have differing working hours. In some areas this may involve 7 day working.
PLEASE NOTE - Previous NHS Experience as a Physiotherapist is ESSENTIAL to this position. No applications without NHS experience will be considered

We will be looking for candidates to demonstrate varied B5 experience in rehabilitation and neuro rehab. Evidence of the ability to supervise and develop other staff members and undergraduate students would be necessary.
To assess and manage own caseload of neurological or rehabilitation patients, make a diagnosis, and to develop and deliver individual specialised physiotherapy treatment programmes.
To work as an autonomous practitioner within the standards of professional practice laid down by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and Health Professions Council.
To work as a member of the multi disciplinary team on each rotation to deliver holistic care packages to the clients on the caseload. Often this involves working as a lone clinician.
There is a strong multi-professional team focus to patient care in all areas and you will work alongside experienced senior staff and can develop advanced clinical skills, knowledge and leadership as well as developing your own supervisory skills with junior staff, support staff and students.
Previous experience of working in the community would be desirable, and you will need to demonstrate strong organisational and time management skills .
