The Staff Nurse for the Outpatient Parenteral Antibiotic Therapy (OPAT) service with Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust will be responsible for providing clinical expertise and evidence-based care in an outpatient or home setting. The primary focus is on administering intravenous antimicrobial therapy to facilitate admission avoidance and early discharge for patients, in collaboration with community services and under the guidance of a Consultant.

Key duties include coordinating the IV service, supervising patient care needs, leading clinical areas, and engaging in the development of new service pathways. The role also involves providing leadership to nursing colleagues, assisting in the training of student nurses, and ensuring effective communication with patients and various stakeholders.
