Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a Deputy Service Manager to join its Surgery, Perioperative Medicine, and Adult Critical Care team in London. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and motivated, playing a pivotal role in managing patient flow, administrative teams, service improvement projects, and financial performance. The position involves close collaboration within a leadership triad to ensure high-quality and efficient services across The Royal London and Mile End Hospitals, particularly in areas such as Scheduling, Theatres, and Elective Care.

Key responsibilities include managing the Scheduling Team and overseeing elective care patient pathways, which involves booking patients for POA clinics, resolving data quality issues, and managing SHDU bookings. The goal is to ensure a smooth patient journey before and on the day of surgery. Strong relationship-building with various services providing elective care is essential. Candidates will join a supportive and ambitious team focused on continuous improvement and excellent patient care. The Trust values flexibility and inclusivity in the workplace.
