The County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust is seeking applicants for the role of Theatre Healthcare Assistant at the University Hospital of North Durham. Both substantive and bank positions are available. Candidates should have GCSE equivalents in English and Mathematics and be able to provide certificates at the interview. Those new to care must complete a care certificate and will be paid at Band 2 until completion; sponsorship for new applicants is not available.

The successful candidate will support qualified staff in delivering high-quality, efficient patient care while preserving patient dignity. Key responsibilities include preparing and cleaning operating theatres, maintaining equipment, assisting with patient positioning, and completing required documentation. The role requires knowledge of various theatre equipment and adherence to local and national guidelines.
