We can offer you a new clinical career based on the four pillars of ACP practice (HEE 2017) We are currently recruiting for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Advanced Clinical Practitioner team here at Great Ormond Street Hospital. You will work within the multi-professional team managing the medical care using decision making and interventions for our patients with responsibility for a dedicated case load. The team is highly motivated to work at the cutting edge of clinical care, continue to develop advanced skills and experience, to improve the outcomes of children and young people with acquired or congenital heart disease. The role will allow you to integrate into our established ACP team. We look forward to what you can bring to the team, and your ACP knowledge and experience from a different clinical background will enhance our team dynamic and provide a robust framework for you to build a significant depth of learning within the paediatric cardiac intensive care setting. The successful candidate will be able to use their clearly developed expert intensive care skills, knowledge, and experience, in ACP while developing a skill set for the paediatric cardiac intensive care environment. Development will be firmly based within the four pillars of ACP and fully supported with clinical supervision from a named consultant & ACP. We will provide you with an individual orientation & training programme to support your transition into the new role and ensure you have the skills needed to be a key player in the ACP CICU programme & as part of our ACP/medical workforce within the CICU environment. To apply you will need to have: Completed your masters level qualification Registered as a non-medical prescriber Demonstrated & achieved the skills associated with critical care provision Provided evidence of your case management of a group of patients within critical care Evidence of an e-portfolio illustrating your learning continuum (RCPCH 2020, HEE 2020) Have a professional 5-year development plan (HEE 2020) The ability to develop your skills as part of the medical rota including nights and weekends as part of an established CICU workforce We will provide a named dedicated Consultant & Advanced Clinical Practitioner supervisor to support your own skills & educational needs across the 4 pillars of ACP, (HEE 2019) About us The full job description provides an overview of the key tasks and responsibilities of the role, and the person specification outlines the qualifications, skills, experience and knowledge required.
