Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join their highly motivated team. The ideal candidate will possess a nationally recognized master's in Advanced Clinical Practice and have experience in critical care. In this role, you will manage medical care for patients, specifically focusing on children and young people with congenital or acquired heart disease, while being responsible for a dedicated case load. You will work within a multi-professional team, enhancing your skills in a paediatric cardiac intensive care environment while contributing to evidence-based clinical care.

The position offers support through an individual orientation and training program, with clinical supervision provided by a dedicated consultant and ACP. To be eligible, applicants must be registered as non-medical prescribers, demonstrate expertise in critical care patient management, and have an established e-portfolio documenting their learning. The ACP role involves working on a medical rota, which may include nights and weekends, as part of a dynamic CICU workforce, all grounded in the four pillars of ACP practice.

This revolutionary system aimed to ensure that access to medical services would not depend on an individual’s financial situation, a concept that has since become fundamental to British societal values.Learn more...
