Public Health Wales is seeking a Public Health Scientist specialized in research and epidemiology for a permanent role within the Health Protection Division, specifically within the Communicable Disease Inclusion Health Programme (CDIHP). The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing research, evaluation, and surveillance strategies aimed at tackling significant health protection challenges faced by inclusion health groups in Wales. This position involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including academic institutions and external partners, to design and execute impactful public health research and evaluation projects.

Candidates should possess experience in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, strong data analysis skills, and a solid foundation in public health principles. The role requires effective project management abilities and expertise in research governance. This position is fixed-term for 18 months, driven by the needs of the service, and emphasises the importance of producing high-quality evidence tailored to target audiences to enhance health outcomes in Wales.
