We have an opportunity for a Senior Pharmacy Technician manager- Dispensary Services to join our in-patient Pharmacy team primarily based at Sunderland Royal Hospital, but with flexibility to work across the South Tyneside and Sunderland Foundation Trust (STSFT) when required. If you are looking to gain experience as a Senior Technician Manager and have the skills to manage a team of Pharmacy Dispensers, Technicians and Pharmacy Assistants then this Post could appeal to you. The Trust has invested in modern pharmaceutical facilities including full electronic prescribing with decision support, automated dispensaries and extensive seven-day clinical services to enhance the patients experience of care by improving the quality, safety and effectiveness of their medicines utilisation. We are looking for a motivated individual who is team-orientated and shares our passion for improving patient care. You will need to be an experienced Pharmacy Technician working at Band 5 level with a relevant pharmaceutical qualification and registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). You will also need to be well-organised. As Senior Pharmacy Technician you will manage a team of dispensers and work alongside our Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Dispensing Assistants to provide integrated pharmaceutical care for service users in the Trust to ensure safe, appropriate and cost-effective use of medicines. As part of the Pharmacy team, you will be required to contribute to the seven-day rota which includes weekends and late-night duty.
