The University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Band 6 Paediatric Respiratory Clinical Nurse Specialist for a 12-month fixed-term role. The successful candidate will collaborate with Paediatric Respiratory Consultants and a multidisciplinary team to deliver care primarily to children and young people requiring non-invasive ventilation and home oxygen therapy. Responsibilities include educating parents and caregivers, conducting clinical assessments, and managing care plans, while also focusing on the emotional support of families navigating long-term respiratory conditions.

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in pediatric nursing, excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to supervise and train others. A proactive approach to service improvement and personal development is encouraged. The role involves regular participation in multidisciplinary meetings and emphasises a coordinated effort in providing high-quality, empathetic care that aids in the transition of young patients to adult services.
