The Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust is seeking two qualified Band 5 Staff Nurses to join the Sandpiper Ward team, an acute mental health ward located at Swallownest Court on the outskirts of Rotherham. The role involves delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care in a mixed-gender, 18-bedded environment, where patient care is centered on a multi-disciplinary, collaborative approach. The ideal candidates will be passionate about supporting individuals experiencing acute mental health challenges, have strong risk assessment skills, and a solid understanding of acute psychiatry principles.

Successful candidates will play a key role in coordinating and managing daily shifts, fostering a recovery-oriented ethos that emphasises hope and innovative partnerships with patients. The Trust offers comprehensive support including regular supervision, in-house and external training, and tailored professional development opportunities to enhance staff skills and resilience. We are excited to announce two positions for a band 5 qualified nurse to join our fabulous team.

Swallownest Court is located on the outskirts of Rotherham Town Centre and comprises of four wards on site. Sandpiper ward is a mixed gender 18 bedded acute mental health ward.

Patient care is governed by our multi-disciplinary collaborative approach where extensive assessment and individualised treatment plans form part of our pathways whilst stabilising acute symptoms. We are committed to the ethos of the recovery model promoting hope, optimism and innovative ways of working in partnership with patients.
