An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dietitian with a strong interest in Community Dietetics & Public Health to work as part of the ABUHB Community Dietetics Team. We are an enthusiastic multidisciplinary team with a strong ethos of mentoring and development.
The post holder will support, develop and deliver the specialist dietetic services as part of the Community Dietetic Team. The post holder will be expected to offer dietetic clinics, group sessions and provide specialist care to a wide variety of patients within community settings. The individual gain an in-depth knowledge of the management of patients within this specialist area. The below specialist areas will form part of the successful candidates work plan;
Depending on previous experience and interest in this area, there is an opportunity to educate and support the post holder in learning and upskilling in the area of food allergies. Training and education will be supported as part of the annual appraisal process.
The post holder will require advanced communication skills including motivational interviewing to provide a specialist service for the patients as well as being able to effectively report on the service to key stakeholders.
