The County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic registered nurse to fill the role of Continence Specialist Nurse in Bishop Auckland. This position is part of the adult bladder and bowel service within the community, requiring the successful candidate to work in various settings, including clinics, home visits, care homes, and offices across the county. The role involves assessing and managing patients with complex bladder and bowel dysfunction, providing patient education, and contributing to service development. The ideal candidate will possess a degree-level nursing education, have a strong background in bladder and bowel issues, and exhibit excellent communication skills.

In addition to delivering high-quality care, the Continence Specialist Nurse will take on leadership responsibilities in the absence of lead nurses and contribute to training and policy development. The position supports family-friendly hours, primarily working Monday to Friday. Required qualifications include an understanding of change management, quality improvement, and clinical supervision, with prior community experience being desirable.
