Band 6: £37,338 to £44,962 a year Pro Rata  PERMANENT  GOOD SALARY 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced, Specialist Physiotherapist to join the Carrick Community Rehabilitation Team.

We are looking for a colleague who is experienced at working autonomously in the community and who wishes to develop his/her rehabilitation skills.

You will be based at Falmouth community hospital but cover a vast area over Carrick community providing Physiotherapy to patients in their own homes. The ability to travel independently across the area to fulfil the requirements of the post is essential.

You will work predominantly, alongside Physiotherapy colleagues, Occupational Therapy colleagues and support workers. You will have contact with the inpatient therapy team and occasionally required to provide cross cover. You will be involved with the wider integrated , multidisciplinary team.

You will be responsible for the assessment, planning and implementation of patients' rehabilitation, identifying problems and needs and set realistic patient led goals.

For this post you will need to be able to think quickly, problem solve and multi task.

  • To provide a high standard physiotherapy service, performing advanced assessments of patients including those with highly complex presentations, and from this formulating a diagnosis and treatment plan.
  • To provide leadership for support staff and junior staff through supervision, training and appraisal.
  • To participate in the planning and development of Physiotherapy Services within the designated team.
  • To work predominantly in the community setting but also inpatient and rehabilitation outpatient departments as required.
  • 7 day working could become an operational requirement of this post in the future.
  • Specialist advice and support to Physiotherapy and the wider multidisciplinary team.
