The Electrical Estates Manager at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is responsible for overseeing a safe, efficient, and cost-effective operational and maintenance service within the Estates Department. Reporting to the Deputy Head of Estates, the role includes managing a team of electrical technicians and specialists, ensuring the reliability and compliance of engineering infrastructure and equipment with statutory standards and health regulations. The post holder will also collaborate with various departments, provide technical advice, handle engineering services, oversee maintenance contracts, and support the implementation of minor schemes and capital works.

In addition to these operational responsibilities, the Electrical Estates Manager will act as the Authorised Person for High and Low Voltage Systems, maintain site asset registers, and engage in performance monitoring and policy updating. Participation in an emergency on-call roster and providing cover for colleagues is also required, along with the ability to assist in producing reports and project work. The role necessitates developing strong working relationships across clinical and non-clinical areas to ensure responsive and high-quality Estates services that meet the Trust's operational needs.
