The University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW) is seeking an experienced registered critical care practitioner for the role of Severn Transfer Practitioner within their Retrieve service, which specializes in adult critical care transfers across the South West. This position entails providing high-quality transfer care to critically ill patients, working both independently and collaboratively with referring hospitals. The successful candidate will engage in remote care, mentoring and supporting new team members, and participating in education, service projects, audits, and research initiatives.

This role, classified as Band 6, requires flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends, and adherence to infection control guidelines while dealing with high-risk patients. As a part of a dynamic multi-professional team, the Transfer Practitioner will enhance their critical care skills and contribute to the development of best practices in patient transfers, which have been recognized nationally for their excellence.
