The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is hiring Full-time Healthcare Security Officers to join their dynamic team across Leicester Royal Infirmary, Leicester General Hospital, and Glenfield Hospital. Candidates should possess prior experience or qualifications in security or healthcare, and ideally have a caring nature to effectively manage and de-escalate challenging situations involving patients, visitors, and staff. The role involves providing 24-hour security coverage, monitoring CCTV, documenting incidents, and maintaining high standards of customer service while ensuring safety and security across all hospital sites.

Healthcare Security Officers will engage closely with a diverse range of individuals, responding to emergencies and sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism. They will require strong communication skills, the ability to resolve conflicts, and the physical capability to manage aggressive individuals when necessary. Successful applicants will receive full training to support their development and contribute positively to the hospital environment while safeguarding patients, staff, and hospital property.
