Band 4: £31,944 to £34,937 a year per annum  PERMANENT  GOOD SALARY 

Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor/Technician, the Mechanical Craftsperson is responsible for maintaining mechanical systems, including HVAC, water safety, and medical gas services.

The Mechanical Craftsperson is essential in ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of mechanical systems at St George's Hospital. This role involves performing planned and reactive maintenance, minor capital works, and emergency responses to support the Trust's healthcare operations.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and plumbing faults, carrying out maintenance tasks, and supporting various engineering services such as HVAC, medical gas, and water systems. The role also involves using computer-based control systems, developing risk assessments, and providing technical advice to contractors and other staff.
