Home Based Treatment Teams (HBTTs) are a multi-disciplinary team of mental health professionals providing a 24 hour, 7 day per week service to people experiencing a Mental Health (MH) crisis. HBTTs provide an alternative to hospital admission by providing intensive community based interventions. Where a hospital admission does occur, HBTT can assist in shortening the inpatient stay by facilitating early discharge and support back to the community.
