Rectify coding of Enhanced services, to ensure that correct codes are being used for payment purposes.

Working with the Information and Digital Transformation Officers to provide digital and IT Administrative support for the 4 NCPC practices in Workington/Whitehaven/Cleator Moor/Frizington/Egremont and Seascale. This role will support the Practice Managers and Information and Digital Transformation Officers in providing timely data, administration duties, and technical support such as setting up and supporting staff with software which will include systems like EMIS Web, Ardens products, AccuRX, eConsult, Telephone systems, medical appliance software and social media and website content, working with practices to utilise the tools given to us, to deliver patient information, and any other related tasks.

Hardware and Network support is supported by e-health. Your role will be to report any issues to the e-health helpdesk and ensure they are actioned in a timely manner, and liaise with the local e-health team to ensure smooth running of all hardware and network systems and ordering of equipment and maintaining a practice asset register. This is more of an IT Administration role, than a technical role, although some technical knowledge will be an advantage.

You will be asked to attend meetings as a representative for your localities, and work with other NHS bodies to encourage and support shared care across all services available.

  • Responsible for the development and ongoing utilisation of digital comms with patients and staff. Trouble shooting network, hardware and software issues.
  • Ordering of new equipment.
  • Setting up and ongoing management of user accounts on all systems used within practice.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the development and ongoing utilisation of digital communications with patients and staff.
  • Trouble shooting network, hardware and software issues.
  • Ordering of new equipment and relocating equipment depending on practice requirements.
  • Responsible for setting up and ongoing management of user accounts on all systems used within practice. These will include EMIS Web clinical systems, smartcard systems, NHS Mail accounts, and supporting Ardens and other patient support packages where required.
  • Working with the Information and Digital Transformation Officers to provide day to day support for members of the practice team in accessing patient data via searches etc.
  • Maintaining an equipment asset management register, along with information data flow registers and significant event/data breach registers.
  • Maintain stock levels for printer toner/drum cartridges across sites ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
  • Encourage, train and support staff to carry out routine troubleshooting of IT equipment.
  • Keep social media accounts up to date with regular and urgent practice updates.
  • Update practice websites in line with NCPC guidance.
  • Ensure that the practice meet Information Governance requirements and provide support to staff in this area with advice from NCPC Information and Digital Transformation Officers.
  • Support practice improvements in the use of IT equipment and Systems, working with practice staff to improve workflow and create efficiencies using digital technologies.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 x GCSEs including maths and English or equivalent.
