Caterham Dene Community Hospital is a 28 bedded ward providing care, physical rehabilitation and discharge planning for mainly frail older adults following an episode of acute illness or injury.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate registered nurse to join our friendly, dynamic, and caring multidisciplinary team. As a staff nurse you will play a vital role in ensuring that our client group receive the highest standard of evidence-based nursing care.
Whether you are an experienced Registered Nurse, newly or recently qualified Registered Nurse, we can support you in this very rewarding role.

You will be providing evidence-based nursing care to patients requiring physical rehabilitation to help them to regain their independence following an acute illness, sub-acute illness, or surgery.
You will be customer focused, caring and compassionate and provide a high standard of nursing care and collaborative team work to promote independence and discharge planning. Working in partnership with the patient, their family and/or carers to support this process.
You will support quality and safety by practicing according to professional standards, taking responsibility for delegating to others and be a role model for junior members of staff and student nurses.
About usThe post holder will play a key role within the ward management team to provide a quality, patient centred and supportive environment where patients can reach their full rehabilitation potential. The post holder will contribute to the promotion of an environment which encourages and supports the development of nursing practice. The post holder will be expected to utilise a variety of strategies to communicate effectively with family/carers, the multidisciplinary team, other departments within the organisation and pertinent agencies outside the organisation.
With support from senior nursing staff, the post holder will be able to demonstrate clinical skills to provide the highest standard of individualised patient care. Acting as a role model, the post holder will provide clinical leadership in the ward area.
