The Principal Clinical / Health / Counselling Psychologist for the Neonatal Unit at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a part-time (15 hours a week) position aimed at providing specialized psychological support to babies, their families, and the unit's staff. Responsibilities include conducting psychological assessments and therapy, offering advice and training to the multi-disciplinary team, and developing systematic support frameworks for families experiencing communication challenges. The role emphasises working collaboratively with health agencies, implementing evidence-based interventions, and contributing to research and policy development within the South West Neonatal Operational Delivery Network.
