The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking two Category Specialists for its Procurement and Supplies Department. The role involves implementing procurement activities to ensure safe and high-quality goods and services while managing projects that achieve cost-effective supply arrangements in line with Trust requirements and procurement regulations. The successful candidates will support various procurement projects and contracts, focusing on delivering savings and efficiencies in both clinical and non-clinical environments.

Reporting to a Category Manager, the Category Specialists will lead on sourcing programs, engage with stakeholders for product selection, and promote contract compliance. They will analyze spend data, develop procurement strategies, and liaise with clinical staff to optimize processes. Additionally, the role includes managing Category Assistants, preparing procurement strategies, conducting market analysis, and utilizing procurement systems for efficient contract management. Frequent travel to UHL's hospital sites is required, with the primary base at County Hall.
