The Band 7 CAMHS Primary Mental Health Specialist role at the Kingswood Hub, within the Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust, involves working part-time (22.5 hours per week) as part of the South Families Plus team in South Gloucestershire. The successful candidate will conduct assessments on the psychological and emotional health of children and young people, engage in therapeutic work, and manage a caseload. Additionally, they will lead multi-agency meetings, provide consultation and training to Families Plus staff, and support professionals in identifying and intervening with young people's mental health needs.

This position requires collaboration with an established Primary Mental Health Specialist team and access to ongoing training and supervision. The role is focused on enhancing the skills of staff working with children and promoting effective mental health interventions, while also facilitating community access to CAMHS services. The team strives for a compassionate approach to leadership and aims to ensure a responsive and effective service in alignment with the I-Thrive model.
