DEPUTY SISTER LABURNUM WARD

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Sister to join our friendly team on Laburnum ward at the Horton hospital, to assist & support the unit Manager in providing a quality service for our patients..

Laburnum ward cares for acutely unwell patients with complex medical & nursing needs.

We are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic & motivated nurse looking for a new challenge. The successful candidate will provide leadership & clinical expertise to the unit.

Applicants must have proven ability in providing clinical support & mentorship to junior staff.

To deputise in the absence of the Ward Manager in assisting & providing leadership to the ward teams in delivering a high standard of care

Developing & maintaining clinical skills & knowledge necessary to provide person centred evidence based care

Work in collaboration across all professional boundaries promoting effective relationships

Ensure compliance within our clinical governance framework, motivating colleagues, championing service user safety and driving for continuous improvement

  • Manage, direct and evaluate the nursing care for a defined caseload of patients.

  • Work proactively to ensure every hospital visit meets the needs of the patient and that they are discharged in a timely manner ensuring effective communication with the family and/or relevant agencies as agreed.
