HealthHarmonie is seeking a Sonographer to join their Ultrasound team in Dunston, providing high-quality non-obstetric ultrasound services in a community setting. The role involves performing various scans, including Upper Abdominal, Pelvis TA/TVS, Renal/Prostate, and various musculoskeletal assessments. The Sonographer will work autonomously, ensuring efficient patient care while adhering to the service's quality standards and promptly communicating results to referring GPs.
Key responsibilities include maintaining service provision, performing regular quality control tests, ensuring patient welfare and comfort, and minimizing delays in examinations. The position requires a commitment to excellence in ultrasound examinations and collaboration with fellow team members, with the understanding that no visa sponsorship will be provided.

You will be an effective member of the Ultrasound team, providing the highest standard of Ultrasound service to patients in our expanding Non-Obstetric Ultrasound Service, working autonomously in a community setting.
Scans to be covered: Upper Abdominal, Pelvis TA/TVS, Renal / Prostate, Testes, Groin (including inguinal hernias), Abdominal Wall hernias, Head & Neck, Thyroids, MSK Lipomas, MSK Shoulders, MSK Knees, MSK Hands & Feet, MSK All.
About us
- You will provide a high standard of work as set by the service as regards the quality of ultrasound examinations.
- Ensure that the ultrasound examination of patients is carried out as quickly as possible, consistent with keeping to the standard required and that the patients are sent home with the least possible delay.
- Assist the other Sonographers in the ultrasound service in maintaining service provision.
- Ensure quality control tests are carried out regularly and any malfunctions reported.
- Responsible at all times for the patient's welfare and comfort.
- Work with the Referral Management Centre to provide a written communication to the referring GP within 2 days of the patients appointment.
