Clinical Fellow Higher (ST6+) in PICU and PaNDR inCambridge inCambridge PUBLISHED FRI 10 JAN 2025

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking applications for a Clinical Fellow Higher (ST6+) position in Paediatric Intensive Care (PICU) and Paediatric Retrieval (PaNDR), with immediate start and a contract until 31 August 2025, potentially extendable. This role is ideal for overseas trainees and senior doctors, particularly those with experience in Anaesthetics, Intensive Care Medicine, or Emergency Medicine, who desire further expertise in Paediatric Critical Care before pursuing a Consultant position. While the post does not have Postgraduate Dean's approval or formal training recognition, it can serve as an Out-of-Program for Experience (OOPE).

The PICU is a leading 13-bedded unit, the only one in the East of England, recognized for its excellence and research in paediatric critical care. The newly formed PaNDR service caters to non-paediatric hospitals in the region and operates alongside the Neonatal Service at Addenbrooke's Hospital, utilizing high-fidelity ambulances. The post-holder will engage in a full-shift Middle Grade rota, enjoy built-in support for study and professional development, and participate in research and audit activities, receiving training opportunities comparable to Specialty Registrars.
