The Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Psychologist (Band 7/8a, 0.6 WTE) to join their dedicated perinatal psychology team in Derby. The role involves providing individual, group, and systemic psychological support to women and birthing individuals, as well as their families, who are dealing with mental health issues related to pregnancy, the postnatal period, or loss. This position will encompass both inpatient and community settings, focusing on a range of psychological challenges such as attachment issues, trauma, and mood disorders, particularly within the Derby Mother and Baby Inpatient Unit and the South Derbyshire Perinatal Community Team.

Candidates will be expected to conduct assessments, treatment planning, and supervision while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The position also entails training in evidence-based practices, such as EMDR and Compassion-Focused Therapy, as well as opportunities for service development and research involvement. Registered HCPC and eligible for BPS Chartered Status candidates with a keen interest in trauma and perinatal mental health are encouraged to apply. The role aims to develop a psychologically informed approach to care, enhancing support options for women during critical perinatal phases.
