The role of "Health Visitor - B&D Children West Locality" at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust involves leading the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme within the West Locality Team, which is currently undergoing exciting transformations to enhance family and community hubs in Barking. The position is open to both newly qualified and experienced Health Visitors, offering opportunities for professional development, collaborative working, and an emphasis on staff well-being. Responsibilities include managing caseloads, ensuring the delivery of mandated reviews, and improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Candidates must hold a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse/Health Visitor qualification or be nearing qualification, possess experience working with children and young people, and demonstrate strong communication skills. The role includes a supportive preceptorship program for new practitioners and opportunities for ongoing training and professional development for experienced Health Visitors. Additionally, a Welcome Payment incentive is offered to newly hired external candidates.
