The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a registered pharmacist for the role of QC/QA Advanced Pharmacist (XR08) in Leeds, focusing on pharmaceutical quality assurance. The successful candidate will lead the QA/QC team, ensuring compliance with regulations while supporting the service manager in overseeing a dynamic team that contributes to patient care. With the department poised for growth and transition to new facilities, the role involves managing quality systems, project planning for continuous improvement, and providing training to staff. Key responsibilities also include performing quality assessments of medicines, conducting risk management, and acting as a Releasing Officer for pharmacy production.

This full-time position (37.5 hours per week) includes some weekend and bank holiday commitments. The role emphasises leadership development within a collaborative environment, as the department participates in a national initiative to enhance aseptic services. The successful applicant will work closely with a variety of health professionals, bringing subject matter expertise in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Quality Risk Management to the forefront of their responsibilities.
