This is a temporary role as a Bank Chef at Barchester Healthcare, a leading healthcare provider in the UK. You will have the opportunity to work with fresh, seasonal food and create nutritious, flavorsome and well-balanced menus for the residents while maintaining hotel/restaurant standards. The role offers a better work-life balance compared to traditional chef roles.

As a Bank Chef at Barchester, you will assist the Head Chef in creating menus and delivering high-quality, wholesome dishes. You will be responsible for managing the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, working within budget, completing regular audits, and managing stock control. The role requires a personable and warm approach, good understanding of nutrition and HACCP, and the ability to create a welcoming environment for the residents.

NEED TO HAVE

A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent Experience in helping lead and inspire a team A good understanding of nutrition Experience of working with fresh seasonal food The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home Good understanding of HACCP
