The University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a Histology Improvement Lead for a 12-month fixed-term position within the Coventry and Warwickshire Pathology Service (CWPS). This role involves managing the histology department's operations across two hospital sites, overseeing a range of histological techniques, and leading the implementation of new equipment and a Digital Pathology system. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing improvement plans, addressing complex scientific and technical challenges, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulations, while promoting effective communication and collaboration among staff.

As a dynamic and organized professional with knowledge in Cellular Pathology, the Histology Improvement Lead will also manage budgets, identify cost improvement plans, and ensure staff compliance with mandatory training. This position requires strong multitasking and communication skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Overall, the role focuses on driving transformation opportunities within the department to enhance service delivery and clinical standards.
