The University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a Senior Clinical Perfusionist for a 12-month fixed-term role within its Clinical Perfusion Department in Stoke-on-Trent. The ideal candidate will hold full UK registration with the College of Clinical Perfusion and possess at least three years of post-qualification experience. In this position, the Senior Clinical Perfusionist will be responsible for managing cardiopulmonary function during cardiac surgery, operating vital auxiliary equipment, and ensuring patient safety. They will also assist in departmental development, supervise trainee perfusionists, and participate in on-call and late duty rotas.

Key responsibilities include preparing and operating equipment for cardiopulmonary bypass, conducting blood gas analyses, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize clinical outcomes. The successful applicant will be expected to maintain high clinical standards, participate in professional development initiatives, and adhere to health and safety regulations.
