Chopwell Primary Healthcare Centre in Newcastle Upon Tyne is seeking a 6-session salaried GP to join their clinical team, which currently comprises three doctors. The role requires the GP to work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with morning and afternoon clinics consisting of 13 ten-minute appointments, offering a mix of face-to-face and telephone consultations. The position offers a salary of £62,000, including indemnity and GMC fees, along with six weeks of annual leave pro rata and one week of study leave. There are also opportunities for overtime to cover colleagues' annual leave.

The GP will deliver effective medical care, manage long-term conditions, handle administrative tasks, and participate in telephone triage on a rotational basis. There will be minimal home visits, supported by community teams for acute cases. The practice emphasises continuous improvement, collaborative working, and the importance of training, as the surgery serves as a training practice for registrars. The role also involves participating in audits and local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care.
