Our GP Practice is based at Northgate Health Centre with a list size of 13,500 patients. We have a dedicated multidisciplinary team putting patient care at the heart of everything we do. We are located in the heart of Oxford in a brand-new, purpose-built premises with our neighbouring practice of King Edward Street Practice. Our central location makes us accessible to public transport and we there is secure, indoor bike parking for staff. We are highly rewarded by CQC, with a rating of good.
We are looking for an experienced administrator to be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative duties and the provision of administrative support to the multidisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities
The following are the key responsibilities of the Administration Assistant. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
a) To ensure patients are registered in a timely manner & responding to patient registration queries and change notifications from PCSE.
c) Processing patient referrals to external services.
d) Management of the two week wait process and referrals are followed up in line with SLAs.
e) Supporting document management - all incoming patient letters in electronic and paper form.
f) Input data into the patients healthcare records as necessary.
g) Assisting with the admin relating to insurance reports and medicals.
h) To ensure patients are recalled in a timely manner for including but not exhaustive, cervical screening, enhanced Services & QOF.
i) To provide and maintain the information required for QOF, Enhanced Services & the Primary Care Quality Premium recall and targets, including checking data as necessary & liaising with the practice teams to improve performance.
j) Keep up to date with changes to QOF.
k) Support seasonal and various health campaigns to increase patient uptake.
l) To monitor, and amend where required patient records to ensure records are kept up to date, this will include; updating personal details, coding to update the medical care record, and asking patients for information opportunistically when they are on the phone.
