The Learning and Development Consultant-Clinical Skills (Mental Health) role with the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is aimed at experienced mental health clinicians who are passionate about developing clinical skills training for health professionals. The consultant will lead the design, planning, delivery, and evaluation of mandatory and essential skills training, focusing on clinical risk assessment and specialized mental health competencies. Responsibilities also include promoting staff engagement in work-based learning, leveraging innovative training technologies, and ensuring that the training meets identified workforce needs effectively.

Additionally, the consultant will provide managerial and clinical leadership, oversee quality assurance for training programs, collaborate with various stakeholders, and ensure the co-production of training with service users. The position offers opportunities to engage with new learning methods and contribute to the continuous improvement of educational practices for mental health services.
