Training and Exercising
The post holder will support the design, development and delivery of the EPRR Teams training and exercising programme to ensure Trust staff are competent and confident at delivering any role they may be assigned during an incident or an emergency.
EPRR Work Programme
The post holder will support the EPRR Team ensure the Trust has in place an ambitious EPRR Work Programme with the aim of ensuring continued improvement and establishing best practice within EPRR.
Develop Emergency Plans
The post holder will support the EPRR Team in the development of robust plans which in turn, will support the Trust and its stakeholders to respond to incidents and emergencies.
Risk Assessment
To work closely with Business Continuity Leads and the wider EPRR Team to support the identification, assessment and management of risks which may impact the clinical management group or department ability to deliver care and if needed, to include identified risks onto the Trust risk register.
Policy
The post holder will support with the ongoing development, review, and implementation of the Trusts Business Continuity Management Policy. This should ensure the relevant requirements of NHS Englands core standards for EPRR and ISO:223are implemented across the organisation as required.
Support UHL Response to Incidents
The post holder will provide support and advice during incidents to the Trusts incident coordination teams.
Professional Relationships
The post holder may need to represent the Trust and promote UHL and the EPRR Teams interests in multi-agency meetings. This may include disseminating relevant information as well as developing and maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholders.
Information
The post holder will deal with sensitive and confidential material from both within the Trust and other Category 1 and 2 responders.
Personal Development
The post holder will be responsible for undertaking personal development and training to enhance skills and expertise and to maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation and policies relating to all aspects of EPRR, including business continuity.

The Emergency Planning Resilience and Response (EPRR) Team at University Hospitals of Leicester (UHL) is advertising for an EPRR Officer, permanent role.
We are a friendly and motivated team, passionate about the field of EPRR and committed to providing quality advice and guidance. We are looking for someone with similar attitudes, who can work both independently as well as part of a team, to join us and help develop UHL further.
The post holder work will be central to supporting the Trust in achieving and maintaining compliance against the Civil Contingencies Act 2004, and any associated EPRR guidance, including NHS England's Core Standards for EPRR.
As the EPRR Officer, they will support the Trust by reviewing and updating existing plans, strengthening the roll-out of EPRR training and exercising programmes. This role does not have any on-call responsibilities; however, the post holder may be required to get involved in the response to any potential incidents or emergencies.
The post holder will need to maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders both internal andexternal to the organisation and understand that they may work with time-sensitive and sensitive information, so a level of professionalism is expected at all times.
The post holder will work with minimal supervision and be expected to work flexibly as part of the EPRR team.
